J'Mag Karbeah PhD,MPH

 Hello! I'm Dr. J'Mag Karbeah, a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Public health in the Division of Health Policy and Management. My research aims to interrogate and dismantle the impact of structural racism. I leverage theories and methods from demography, sociology, population health and health services research to examine the structural drivers of maternal and child health inequity. My mixed-methods research seeks to identify policy and practice solutions to ameliorate racism's impact.

I  received my bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and both my masters and doctoral degrees at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
